Mold Detox Diet – Module 1 Getting Started
In Module 1, you will learn how diet is important in recovering from mold exposure. The mold toxins impair cell and immune functioning. You will learn how the mold toxins, in addition to other toxins you are exposed to, cause a burden on your detox system overloading it. Your toxic load depends on your antioxidant status and your body’s ability to detoxify. We will discuss all the things that contribute to your toxic load making your body a toxic dumpsite! You will also learn about the impact that mycotoxins and chemicals have on our hormones and learn strategies on how to reduce exposure to lower your toxic load and how to switch to safer products and what labels to look for! Dr. Gail Clayton, DCN, CNS, MS, RPh is a Registered Pharmacist, Certified Nutrition Specialist, Adjunct Professor of Biochemistry and Functional Medicine. She holds a Master and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Nutrition. In addition, she has a thriving functional medicine practice in Houston, TX and online. Her ability to grasp complex biochemical reactions along with knowledge of biochemical healing properties of botanicals paved the way for her to partner up with Dr. Margaret in creating the Mold Detox Diet and the Advanced Mold Immune courses to share their knowledge and approaches to guide patients and practitioners to recovery.
